The availability of an item is noted on the Product Detail page as one of 4 categories: “In Stock, “Pre-Order”, “Coming Soon”, or “Backorder”. Some items are either on a limited supply by demand (Pre-Order) - in which case you can pre-purchase a product on our website so we can reserve it for you for when it is released, not yet available (Coming Soon), or temporarily unavailable (Backorder) – which are out of stock items that are still available for purchase through our website and will be shipped to you when it is back in stock. Item availability can change status frequently and is sometimes not updated in the system immediately. If you place an order and the status changes before shipment, we will notify you by phone and/or e-mail.
2. Standard Shipping Information
Standard delivery purchases can take up to 2-3 days processing time before they are shipped from our Lakewood, NJ warehouse location using UPS Delivery, or the US Postal Service to all 50 United States, Mexico and Canadian addresses which in most cases depart within 2-5 business days after processing has cleared. Arrival times depend on your location. Other Countries, please contact us for inquiry.
Items sent directly from our suppliers, bulk items, or special-order items may take longer to arrive and are customarily shipped using Standard Ground Delivery.
Items ordered together may not arrive in the same box or at the same time. Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.
We do not ship to PO Box addresses.
United States: Items shipped using UPS Ground Service, or the regular US Postal Service arrive within 1-7 business days from
shipment of your order.
Canada and Mexico: Items shipped using UPS Standard to Canada and Mexico arrive within 7-12 business days from shipment of your order.
Delivery Charges are calculated using UPS "On-Demand Shipping Rates" based on weight / zone plus handling.
Import tax, duty and brokerage fees are assessed by Canadian Customs and charged to customer at time of delivery.
3. Rush Delivery Information
- Delivery Charges are calculated using "On-Demand Shipping Rates" based on weight / zone plus handling.
- Orders must be received by 2:00pm EST - Monday through Friday for same day shipping. (see details for perishable goods**)
- Items shipped using Expedited Shipping option are usually arrive for delivery within 3 business days from ship date to most US addresses, except during federal holidays
- Rush delivery is not available on all catalog items.
- Saturday / Sunday and holiday delivery is not available on rush deliveries.
- Rates are subject to change without notice.
Please note that business days are Monday – Friday and exclude all federal holidays within the United States.
4. Shipping to APO/FPO adresses
We are able to ship to APO/FPO addresses with few restrictions:
We do not offer Express or Overnight shipping to APO/FPO addresses. APO/FPO orders are shipped via Parcel Post and arrive within 4-6 weeks.
Additionally, some items are shipped directly from our vendors and may not be eligible for APO/FPO delivery. Generally, the items that would not be eligible for APO/FPO delivery are very large items such as furniture. We will be happy to provide information for specific items at your request.
5. Chocolate Orders
Please note that unfortunately, due to the nature of chocolate and its properties, Pastry Chef's Boutique, LLC cannot be responsible for any of the following:
- chocolate melting during transit and after delivery if order is placed with a shipment method other than UPS Next Day Air.
When ordering chocolate, to be delivered to known hot locations, or during Summer months some melting may occur during transit, and/or after delivery when left outside. Unless your order is placed with a UPS Next Day Air Priority shipping method some melting might occur during transit.
**Orders containing chocolate and some other perishable goods are not shipped over the week-end due to extremely hot conditions of shipping Carrier facilities (no air conditioned warehouse, trucks...) and are typically only shipped Monday – Wednesday.
Our couverture chocolates are not finished products, rather ingredients that will be melted to be incorporated into your recipe. Even if some melting occurred during or after transit, your chocolate can still be properly tempered.
